The introduction of the KET departments enters the next round
The #TechnologyDidactics department is delighted to have been an official member of the KET since the beginning of the year.
Our mission: to design #technology didactically in such a way that it is exciting, understandable and future-oriented. We are committed to designing learning processes in which students and learners of all ages not only acquire theoretical knowledge about energy and environmental technology, but also actively experiment, reflect and take responsibility. Geographically, we are active with our projects from #EastWestphalia to East Africa; in terms of content, from 5G networks to hashtag#quantum physics; didactically from augmented reality to lecture theatre labs to curriculum development.
What we contribute:
Development and testing of teaching and learning formats relating to sustainable technologies (e.g. renewable #energy sources, #energy storage, #energy efficiency)
Promoting #innovation skills & #practical relevance through project-based learning
Teacher training and school cooperation to awaken enthusiasm and understanding for #energy technology in schools
Why this is important:
Energy technology is shaping our present and future - in the energy transition, in climate protection, in industry. For this transformation to succeed, we not only need technical solutions, but also awareness and understanding in society. And this is precisely where technology education comes in.
